Brian Pines (President/CEO)

Brian Pines is the president and CEO of Hypomania Content, a production company based in Los Angeles.

Pines is an Executive Producer of the ABC comedy The Real O’Neals. His other credits include the Emmy-nominated It Gets Better (MTV and Logo), Savage U (MTV) and The Pre-Game Meal (NECN).

Pines was SVP of TV at Josephson Entertainment. Prior to that, he served as VP of Production and Development at Heel & Toe Films from where he was Executive in Charge of Production on the hit series House.

Pines began his career working in public relations at the firm Nancy Seltzer & Associates and as the assistant to actors Julia Ormond and Susan Sarandon.

Pines is also the co-founder of the Iola Foundation, a California-based 501(c)3 that currently operates as the It Gets Better Project. Pines serves on the board of the Project, which works to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth around the world that ‘it gets better.’ The It Gets Better Project received the Governors’ Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2012 for its use of the medium of television to inspire social change.

Pines is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts’ Dramatic Writing Program. He is engaged to Seth Levy and lives in Los Angeles with their dogs Biscuit and Dudley.
