Does Mitt Romney Have a Soul?

GQ — August 14, 2012

One guy boarding the bus who is far too handsome and besuited to be a print journalist—broadcast, for sure—turns out to be Ari Shapiro of NPR. Shapiro is rather annoyingly accomplished and perfect. He defies all we hear about the ugliness of radio people. Olive-skinned with eight-inch eyelashes. He does parkour, the European sport of jumping off buildings. He also performs with the band Pink Martini and will be playing Carnegie Hall this year.

Sportsality.com — May 15, 2012

Shannon Allen, wife of ten-time NBA All-Star and Champion Ray Allen has respectfully earned the title of “Supermom.” Just try walking a day in her shoes as she juggles five children (one with type 1 juvenile diabetes, and another one that she is still nursing), a husband with a demanding NBA schedule, being a private nutritionist to the entire clan, as well as personal nurse, nurturer, teacher and all the other hats a mother generally wears. What’s most impressive is how she manages all of this with ease and modesty. Sportsality recently sat down with this extraordinary mother to hear her story and although Shannon takes no special credit for her role as a mother, we salute her strength. Read on to learn more about this remarkable wife and mother.

Gay activist, sex columnist Dan Savage willing to mix it up with foes

Chicago Tribune — May 9, 2012

Dan Savage is a little worried. “It Gets Better,” the anti-bullying, online video campaign he and husband Terry Miller started, might be making him, in his words, “milquetoast,” or, as he put it at another point, “a kind of touchy-feely, ooey-gooey, Up-with-People guy.” He needn’t fear.

My Day With Dan Savage

Huffington Post MTVU Blog — May 7, 2012

When I met Dan Savage – seeking his help as part of his MTV show on college campuses, “Savage U” – I had this extreme confusion stirring inside of me. I was TERRIFIED.

After a year and a half of a beautiful, roller coaster-like experience of a relationship, I had finally hit my breaking point. I had so much time, energy, love and hate invested in a relationship that just wasn’t working. The only problem was that I was too in love with her to let it go.
